Eye Strain While Playing Call of Duty 4

by David Jenyns

Question by gaia_master0: Eye Strain =(?
I have a horrible case of eye strain everytime I play… well… Call of Duty 4 for the Xbox 360. So everytime I play the game I get sort of burning-stinging sensation. I go do something else when I can’t bare it any longer, it goes away then comes back when I play again. Im thinking of going to the eye doctor but would like to hear other suggestions first.

Resting the eyes is important, but it also may be that your eyes are dry because you blink less while playing. Try Celluvisc eye drops, but don’t use a full drop – your vision will be blurry. Use a tiny drop.

well, maybe it’s something that just has to do with the game. maybe it’s some sort of repetitive motion injury and you should just refrain from playing the game for a while. if you’re really concerned, just go visit the eye doctor. it wouldn’t hurt and then you could find out the problem. the doctor could prescribe something for you. then you can go back to playing the game you seem to really enjoy without a problem.

eye lubracation drops

lower the brightness of you tv screen

try an blink more often

sit fether away from the tv

remove any glare from the tv like lamps or sun glare

If you’re near or far sighted and you can see the tv screen just fine with out your glasses or contacts then don’t wear you glasses or contacts while you are playing.

take brakes in the middle of it like play 30 minutes at a time with 15 minute brakes in the middle

Try and get a bigger tv.
