Question by tfaz: How can I improve my eyesight without glasses or surgery? Are there any proven eye exercises to do in a month?
I have to pass a job related medical eye exam in one month and my vision is just beyond the requirements, but surgery and the use of glasses or contacts is not allowed. Are there any eye exercises or techniques I can do now to help me pass? If so what are they and how often should they be performed? Also should I not wear my glasses or contacts until then to help train my eyes. Thanks!
I am nearsighted and in my mid twenties in age

Stop watching TV and The PC monitor, that may be affecting your sight and it can be a temporary ailment, hopefully.

I’m Not joking.

There’s probably nothing you can do. Vision deficiencies are caused by the shape of your cornea (the shape of your whole eye, really), which cannot be changed through exercises.

Probably very little if anything without glasses or surgery. If the exam is for a law enforcement position, go for another agency at the local, state or federal level.

When I was a little kid my eyes were “overworked” and my parents to me to an optologist. He is a person who can train with you, and probably give you a good program for getting your eyes strong again. I doubt one month will be enough though… What is always good is play a sport like tennis, or table tennis, it helps you to focus.. zoom in and out, which is an action that makes the eyes stronger. You can also practise focusing by putting beads on a string. (A about a meter long an 5 to 6 beads. Make sure they can’t move) Fix the string to the wall (door post) anything, a little higher than your eye level. Now hold the end of the string in your hand so that it forms a strait line, then focus on the first bead, to second, the third. All the way up the string. And then go back. Also try variation like third bead to sixth, to fourth, to first etc.
An other bead-string exercise is: put a 2 meter long string through a bead (about the size of a pecan nut) Both ends of the string should go through the bead.. so that you can move it up and down the string by pulling the two ends of the string apart. Fix it at the same height as the other string and make your eyes follow the bead up and down the string as you manipulate it by pulling the string and letting it slide down.

I still do recommend an optologist training, but I hope this is of help to you anyway. GOOD LUCK

Hi… I’ve heard of pinhole glasses but I have no idea if it works. In fact, I have never tried them before. U might want to give them a try, it might have some improvements. Do let me know if you find them effective.

Thank you and good luck for your eye exam!

dear u can do a simple exercise but it will take some time, and i believe it will definitely help u. Once Ur work is over just sit in a calm place not disturbed sit comfortable but dont lay down, sit and relax, close ur eyes and concentrate in ur eyes. by doing this u give attention to ur eyes and this brings flow of blood to ur eyes and what every problem is there will be recovered once there is flow of blood in that area. and one more think u can do u can walk on a grass with bare legs it help in a good eye sight.

Tfaz before going to take shower massage you big toe (hallux, both left and right) with mustard oil, minimize usage of pc, cell phone and reading, wearing sky blue glasses will also help
