Question by NebuNoise: Need help for some eye problems after surgery?
I had eyelid surgery about half a year ago by a regular plastic surgeon. However I have been having occasional dry eye / irritation and some intermittent blurry vision that occurs for a few minutes at a time, on and off. My plastic surgeon doesn’t know much about it. Can a ophtamologist pinpoint exactly where these problems are coming from and what tests do they do ?

Yes an ophthalmologist can pinpoint where your problems are coming from and so can an optometrist both are qualified enough to do it.

I always get my eyes strained because of playing the pc for 1-2 hours only! i play the computer everyday but not whole day. Everytime i finished using the pc,i get bad headaches and i always see color fringes every time i look everywhere after i use it.

And it takes one day for me to relieve those eye strain symptoms. What should I do?Any tips,advices?

Take breaks during the time you use the computer. The brain processes all the images, and sometimes it’s a bit to much. Drinking water helps too.

yes, i play my Xbox And get on my computer everyday, and i think i get an eye strain headache cause it can feel a little pain around my eyes..how long do they last? i get off for quite a while and i could still feel a little of it.

Your headache is causing the pain around your eyes. Headaches are caused by tight neck muscles. The muscles go to the top of your head where they connect to muscles going around your head. When the neck muscles get tight they pull the head muscles into pain and that’s your headache. The nerves for your eyes go to the back of your head passing next to the neck muscles. When the neck muscles are tight they can press onto the nerves to your eyes to give you pains on and around your eyes. To get rid of the pains you have to free up your neck muscles to so they don’t pull on the head muscles and here’s how to free them up:
Neck Release:
Place your hands behind your head touching your fingers. Press into the back of your neck with them and hold the pressure on them. After 45 seconds slowly lower your head until your neck is fully extended. Release the pressure but hold your head there for another 30 seconds.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

[Shot on March 27, 2011] Hey guys, just a quick update on what I think of the 3D effect on the 3DS after using it for a little while. Ultimately, I feel that having the 3D Depth Slider up to Max is a bit much for my eyes. At that level, it actually causes me eye strain and it’s difficult to focus. I find that my “sweet spot” as far as the Depth Slider goes is about 48% of the way up. In other words, just ever-so-slightly less than halfway turned up. That’s the perfect spot for my eyes. Not sure how everyone else is going to feel about the various levels of 3D, as everyone is different and thus may require adjusting to their personal preferences. So, those of you who have a 3DS: What do you think of the 3D effect? How did you feel when you first experienced it? What’s your “sweet spot” with the Depth Slider? Question by owen h: Does being directly in front of the computer for ever 50hrs/wk cause serious eye problems?
I feel I am losing my eye sight more and more. I cant see things far away like i used to be able to and im only 21. Even getting my license renewed was harder than usual because of the eye test (I barely passed).

So is being in front of the computer this much going to cause serious problems and require i get eye glasses or contacts? Any help is really apprecitated before i got see the eye doctor.
